Cover Letter: Hi, I am Brady Smith and I would like to inquire about the teaching English positions In Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, or any Asian Country.  I want to teach English as a foreign language, because I am interested in learning about other cultures and teaching others.  I am a native English speaker and I am a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with an MA in Counselor Education, and I earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology concentrating on Education with minors in History and Geography at the University of Delaware. 
As a Graduate and International Resident Advisor I advised students and Graduate students on their academic and social adjustment to college and America. Counseled and presented workshops on academic strategies, social programs, and personal growth and development.  I had the opportunity to organize and supervise large groups on a number of cultural and community service trips to Washington DC and areas in the community.  As a Resident Advisor, Technology Instructor, and as a Teaching Assistant for the University of Delaware and the Upward Bound program, I have taught many lessons to College and High School students of how to use: Excell, PowerPoint, Word, Photoshop and lessons on basic skill sets, video production, music creation and how to create web pages using html programming.  As a Resident Advisor for college students I was responsible to create a learning environment that established academic success to help students in various aspects of college such as academic and social living.  I worked in the difficult balance of enforcing rules and being a trusted counselor were students looked to me to give counsel,  mediation, and, problem solve among college students and their peers. I enjoyed planning a variety of programs to help create a sense of community within our residence hall.  In the community I also formed an outreach organization that ministers to at risk youth in the detention centers by bible study, recovery counseling, and a mentoring program that pares at risk youth with strong moral role models that can relate to them and give them wise counsel and encouragement they need to live and see past their environment. 
My ideal job is one where I would help students to find the true potential, purpose, and educating them with the skills they need to be successful with their life.  I believe my teaching & counseling experience with international students, and working with at-risk youth, will be excellent in helping Asian students learn English.  Attached to this cover letter is a copy of my resume.
